What to do about bad weather?

Picture this…you have meticulously planned, prepped and are super excited about your wedding day or upcoming photography session but now you’ve checked the weather and it looks like it’s going to be overcast/raining/windy/storms/hail/snow…just plain bad weather in general on your big day!!

Aaaahhh what do I do you ask me in a panic?

Well, I’m here to tell you it’s not all doom and gloom (excuse the pun). Beautiful images depend on the QUALITY of light and that not all bad weather equals bad light.

It’s important to keep in mind that as your wedding photographer, trust me when I say, I am going to do everything I possibly can to make sure you get beautiful images no matter what the weather does on your big day. This is a day you just can’t reschedule due to bad weather.

A quick tip however, when planning your wedding you should consider what the seasons are like where you live or are getting married and try to book accordingly.

Portrait sessions like anniversary or engagements are a little different as you can consider rescheduling the shoot for another day when the weather will be better.

For both weddings and portrait sessions when you can’t reschedule there is the option to move the shoot to a different location.

Or, just embrace the weather and have fun with it.

Remember bad weather doesn’t mean bad images!!
